The Purpose Coalition today announced the launch of the Teleperformance Social Impact Report, in collaboration with Teleperformance in the UK, a global leader in customer experience management and digital integrated business services. It outlines the company’s extensive efforts and groundbreaking initiatives aimed at enhancing social mobility and fostering significant social impact across the UK.

Teleperformance in the UK is a part of the global Teleperformance Group, a leading provider of outsourced omnichannel customer experience management services. It offers a wide range of services - from customer care to technical support and from social media management to debt collection - to clients from sectors including public sector services, financial services, telecommunications, retail and healthcare. It operates a significant number of contact centres, employing thousands of people across various locations in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The company has been recognised as a great place to work, receiving accolades for its workplace culture, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and approach to employee well-being. It places a strong emphasis on social responsibility and community engagement, actively participating in initiatives that contribute to social mobility, environmental sustainability, and charitable activities. The UK branch mirrors the global organisation's dedication to leveraging technology, training, and a people-focused approach to provide exceptional customer service and support to its clients, while also making significant contributions to the local communities in which it operates.

The Social Impact Report shines a spotlight on Teleperformance in the UK’s commitment to delivering high-quality services while ensuring a positive and supportive work environment for its employees. It maps its activities against the Purpose Coalition's Goals, showcasing initiatives that span from enhancing employee well-being and career progression to promoting diversity and inclusion. It demonstrates how strategic partnerships, innovative programs, and a commitment to equality can collectively contribute to breaking down barriers to social mobility.

Building on Teleperformance in the UK’s strengths, the report features a series of recommendations for future work where it can go even further in making a tangible difference by:

  • Scaling up outreach work, using its Gateshead and Manchester work as blueprints for other targeted communities;

  • Leading the way in social value and purposeful procurement;

  • Building on its employee engagement to include socioeconomic tracking;

  • Increasing financial resilience for employees across the organisation.

Rt Hon Justine Greening, Chair of the Purpose Coalition and former Secretary of State for Education, praised the report, stating, "Teleperformance's commitment to social mobility and its proactive approach in addressing entrenched societal challenges sets a benchmark for corporate responsibility. Its work in creating opportunities in social mobility cold spots across the UK shows what is possible with leadership ambition and a deep understanding of the communities it serves. This report not only highlights its fantastic achievements so far but also paves the way for continued progress. It is a blueprint for how purpose-led organisations can drive significant and lasting impact. It is a call to action for businesses, institutions, and individuals to join in the effort to create a more equitable and sustainable future."

Gary Slade, CEO of Teleperformance UK & RSA, expressed his enthusiasm about the report's release, saying, "The Teleperformance Social Impact Report is a testament to our unwavering dedication to making every interaction matter, not just for our clients and their customers but for society as a whole. Our collaboration with the Purpose Coalition reinforces our commitment to driving positive change and underscores our belief in the power of purpose-driven business."
